I used Paint to draw this illustration last night. It is very fiddly to use a mouse to draw, and I had never used Paint before,(well, not seriously!) but it has a nice, child-art sort of quality to it!
Ruby is on the left and Fabia, the 172 year old, ancient teacher, is on the right.
I like books that have illustrations, don't you? Illustrations are particularly useful when you are writing in the first person, because you cannot keep making your main character look in the mirror to describe herself!
